Hey!
I finished the first book in the Vampire Academy Series, It was kind of inappropriate and it did get a little dirty/ grimy, and it did have fowl language at times, but the plot was too intriguing to do anything but ignore (not excuse... still bad) and skip over the dirty stuff. Enoguh Cons, Now Though.
Pros: Witty Narrator/ Main Character who has a great story to tell. Rose Hathaway is a student at an Academy that she ran away from. In this book, the first book in the series, Rose gets caught after two years and gets dragged back with Lissa, her best friend, who is rather unstable, weaker than ever, and a vampire. I did metion the vampire thing, right? :)
Rose is Lissa's best friend and her guardian, and the only thing important to Rose in her life (she has no real family) is to protect Lissa from the Strigoi (enemies), and she also only wishes to keep Lissa safe, sane, and happy.
This book is really intense with twists, and I really liked the plot, despite the mildly explicit almost sex scene (Rose didn't lose her virginity-- don't worry).

Most elephants weigh less than the tongue of a blue whale.
All polar bears are left handed.

Love, Lizzy S.
