Hey All! Wow! I was given permission by my mom (finally!) to read the twilight series. I read Twilight and New Moon. So, I guess you all know what happens in these. Bella falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen, when she moves to Forks to be with her Dad and befriends Edward's vamp family. She also almost gets herself killed in the process of being with him and gets bit by a vamp but not long enough for her to be drained and die, or turn into a vamp. And in the second book, her friend Jacob turns out to be one of the vampires' mortal enemies, a werewolf. In the second, Edward leaves Bella "for her safety" and Bella goes insane without him and does the most reckless things she can possibly think of (motorcycling, cliff diving, etc.) because she hallucinates Edward warning her to be safe. Bella is a wreck, loses her friends (except for Jacob of course), and can't sleep without the nightmares breaking into her head. But Jake seems to warm her and save her from herself, so Bella spends a lot of time with him and in return Jacob falls in love with her. Ouch. Also, when Bella cliff dives, Edwards "sister" (and Bella's Best Friend) sees her future - that's her special vamp power, Edwards is mind reading- and thinks she just jumping off a cliff to kill herself. Word spreads to Edward, who fled to Italy, and Edward decides to go to the Vulturi (the royal "rulers" that inforce vampire laws) and beg to die. When this doesn't work, he tries to exposes himself to humans and almost get himself and Bella killed when Alice finds Bella after 6+ months and brings her to Italy to save Edward.
So that's the scoop. Now I'm onto a coupla books including the 3rd book, Eclipse.

Anatidaephobia is the fear that somewhere in the world, there is a duck watching you.

93 books down, 144 days to go!

HEY ALL!

I finished three books, sorry I haven't blogged in so long!
The first book I finished is called The Body Finder.
The Body Finder is a book about a girl named Violet and her best friend/ boyfriend Jay. Violet hears rhythms coming off of people responsible for the deaths of others, and she hears the same rhythm coming off of the person dead. In this book she is trying to find out the killer of some local girls, and finds herself stuck. Now, even though she doesn't know it at first, the killer is after her.

I also finished Heist Society by Ally Carter. This book is about a girl named
Kat Bishop who has grown up in a family of thieves, master thieves. So when she scams her way into a boarding school (a very fancy boarding school- best in the country) she hopes to leave her old life behind, but things don't work out to well. You see, Hale, one of Kat's friends and co-thieves, shows up saying a famous piece of art has been stolen in a way that only a master thieve could pull off. And Kat's dad is the suspect list. So she and her teenage group of soon-to-be thieves decided to steal it back. I liked this book and would read the second one if one comes out.

Lastly I finished The Den of Shadows- which counts as four books because it's four novel in one book! This one took a while.
In the Forests of the Night
Three hundred years ago Risika had a family—a brother and a father who loved her. Three hundred years ago she was human. Now she is a vampire, a powerful one. And her past has come back to torment her.
Demon in My View
Jessica isn’t your average high school student—she’s an acclaimed published author of vampire fiction. Now two new students at her high school strongly remind her of her favorite characters. But those characters only live in her imagination—right?
Shattered Mirror
Christopher Raneva and Sarah Vida may look like a normal high school couple, but he’s actually a vampire who’s sworn off human blood and she’s an incredibly powerful, vampire-hunting witch. As if that weren’t enough to prevent their love, his past and her future collide when they get tangled up with Nikolas, one of the most reviled vampires ever.
Midnight Predator
Once a happy teenager, Turquoise Draka is now a vampire hunter. Her current assigment is to assassinate Jeshikah, one of the cruelest vampires in history. But to do that, she’ll have to enter Midnight, a fabled vampire realm, as a human slave. . . .
Sorry, one this last one I had to copy the review from Barnes And Nobel because I would go on forever reviewing each single book.

The word "queue" is the only word in the English language that is still pronounced the same way when the last four letters are removed.

87

87 books down, baby! Mhmmm I finished Animal Farm by George Orwell. This book was uhmm okay I don't think it's anything special but the mirror on communism was very clever and I enjoyed finding parallels. So, that's officially 87 books now and we are really really behind. Yeah, basically we aren't going to meet out deadline. What do you think? Should we move the date by a month or 2 or stick with it and just fail miserably. Decisions, decisions. Well see ya latah!

BTW MORE BOOKS ARE COMING WE HAVE STANDARDIZED TESTING THIS WEEK SO THATS PLENTY OF TIME TO READ.

86 books dow, 151 days to go!

Hey! I finished Kiss my Book by Jamie Michaels. In this book
Ruby Crane, 15, is becoming a star, and fast. She is the most popular kid at Frasier High for many reason, including the facts that she has a handsome boyfriend, just got her book she had written called The Heart Stealer published, and had received a movie deal for her book. Ruby is soon going to be a Junior in HS and she is ready for NYC as a writer. But every buzz has to die eventually. While in on TV she is accused of plagiarizing from another hit YA book. And the proof is undeniably good.

Soon her best friend and boy friend stop contacting her and the media won't leave her alone, hungry for the truth. And Ruby has to get away. So she disappears from the limelight just like that, and meets some people who really care for her along the way.

85 books down, 152 days to go.

Hey! I also forgot to blog about two more books I read. One is called Airhead by Meg Cabot, the other one Being Nikki by Meg Cabot (the sequel to Airhead). Airhead is about a girl named Emerson Watts, Em, who dies and her brain get put into Nikki's body (Nikki had also died... in the same place at the same time.. hmmm), a famous super model.

In the second book Em/Nikki's best friend from before they accident who she is in love with finds out who she is and is determined to find out why the TV at the new SoHo Stark Megastore grand opening fell on her. It turns out Nikki was killed by the company and killed Em to replace her, since Nikki had learned too much about the company (that happens to be Evil). I can't wait for the next one!!!

HEY! I finished The Black Sheep by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout. This book is about a girl named Kendra who writes a letter to the Black Sheep reality TV show asking to switch families and get away from her workaholic, marathon-obsessed, banker parents and the book of their rules. But soon she forgets all about the letter... at least until the crew for the show showed up on her doorsteps and told her she had a family in California waiting for her. And so she goes. And gets completely attached to her new hippy family of six children, including Mitch, an attractive otter activist who hates the idea of the show. A cause that Kendra quickly becomes a supporter of. But she really does hate her producer, Judy, who happens to be tearing apart her and Mitch's relationship every time she does anything Black Sheep related.
An okay book, light-hearted and sort of plot-less in terms of excitement.

82 books down, 154 days to go! We can do it!

Hey y'all! I finished How NOT To Be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler. This book was surprisingly fantastic.
This book is about a girl named Sugar Magnolia Dempsey (Maggie) who moves around with her totally crunchy and hippie parents every couple of months. Maggie, a totally likable girl who's wealthy in the popularity gene, used to love moving and exploring new places but every time she moves, she's a little older and gets more attached to her friends. And when she has to move away from Detroit, away from her BFF and her boyfriend Trevor who she can't seem to get over, she's heartbroken. She hates her life suddenly. She needs it to stop, the waxing pain of moving. So when she learns that she will only be living in Austin for 4 months, she realizes she has to make the worst of it.
So Maggie goes to school wearing jumpsuits, prairie dresses and galoshes and carries around plants and matching Star Trek backpacks and lunch boxes, refusing to make any friends and set her self up for the heart break and sorrow of moving.
But it gets harder and harder when the strange over-weight Penny who sits with her everyday at lunch and talks dead-pan about her life begins to grow on Maggie. And she begins to also like her Helping Hands volunteer club and starts to develop a crush on young-Republican Jack who seems to be more than interested in her. At least the populars hate her. Kinda. Well, she eventually realizes her plans are slowly deteriorating and tries her hardest to mess up all of her relationships, including her's and Jack's, her's and Penny's and Drip's, and hers and Miles (who happens to be a stunningly handsome and nasty teenage-pig popular who has a fascination with her and can see right through her act).
And the she ruins everything when she learns she staying in Austin (after destroying any fragment of a happy relationship with anyone). So basically her life is falling apart and she is not sure she can make it through the pain and the mess she made. (I'm a spoilsport... she does!)
Good Book! 5/5 stars!

Hey all! I finished How To Ditch Your Fairy by Justine Larbalestier. Charlie, 14, lives in New Avalon, where almost evryone has a fairy, their own little personal fairy. Charlie has a parking cars fairy, she can park any car perfectly in under 10 seconds. But Charlie doesn't like her fairy, she doesn't drive and doesn't like the exhaust. Charlies best friend Rochelle has a clothes fairy that makes everything she tries on perfect on her. And Charlie's enemy? She has a fairy tht will make any guy she want fall in love with her. So to get her fairy to go away she refuses to ever get in the car and drive. So she and her enemy temporarily put up with eachother to come up with a plan to switch their fairies, and she learns to be careful about what she wishes for. With"every boy will love you" fairy, girls turn on Charlie, and she begins to wonder if her crush Steffi likes her or is he's just under the spell of the fairy. Charlie is a like-able girl, but she just doesn't know.
This book was alright, but the setting seemed to be in New Avalon London, if there is such a thing. The slang is kinda strange but overall this book was okay, 2.5/5.

Hey All. As I said in my last post, we're not giving up.
I finished 2 books.. Boy Proof (funny-ish but very strange) and Amazing Grace.
Boy Proof is about a (kind of insane) girl named Victoria who likes to go by Egg, her favorite superhero. She even dresses like her by wearing a white cape/cloak and has a shaved head. She is in Science Fiction and fantasy clubs, gets A's in every class, and doesn't have (nor really wants) friends. She's "Egg." But soon Max Carter, gorgeous and sifi-interested, comes to Victoria's Prep School and catches her attention when he seems to be interested in her, though she "considers herself boy proof– too smart and tough to be appealing to guys." They have a silly "romance" and I thought this book was okay, but very, very strange.

Amazing Grace is about a girl Grace Kinkaid who happens to be a world-known famous teenage tennis player. But she hates the constant fame which is tearing apart her life, so she moves to a remote cabin in Alaska witha former FBI agent, changing her name to Emily and everything. And though at first she has some rather ruff patches she begins to fit in well, becoming a normal girl; all of it. The crushes, the best friends, and the self-discovery. An okay book.
Can't wait to finish Generation Dead!

It's Lizzy... no duh. :)
I finished Coffeehouse Angel, not my favorite book. It was very much a candy book, a book that you read that doesn't have a very good plot. Though this book had mild fantasy, which I like, I don't think it was written too well.

75 books down, 166 days to go!

i finished Beastly, Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, and Prom Nights from Hell.

Beastly Was FANTASTIC! Copied stragiht from B&N.com
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright – a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.
You think I’m talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It’s no deformity, no disease. And I’ll stay this way forever – ruined – unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she urn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I’ll tell you. I’ll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I’ll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.

Prom Nights from hell! Copied straight from B&N.com
In Prom Dates from Hell, bestselling authors Meg Cabot (How to Be Popular), Stephenie Meyer (Twilight), Lauren Myracle (ttyl), Michele Jaffe (Bad Kitty) and Kim Harrison (A Fistful of Charms) take bad prom dates to a whole new level -- a paranormally bad level. From vampires to grim reapers to a creepy update on the classic three-wishes-gone-terribly awry tale "The Monkey's Paw," these stories will entertain better than any DJ in a bad tux can. No corsage or limo rental necessary. Just good, scary fun.

Are You There God? It's me, Margaret. Copied straight from B&N.com No one ever told Margaret Simon that eleven-going-on- twelve would be such a hard age. When her family moves to New Jersey, she has to adjust to life in the suburbs, a different school, and a whole new group of friends. Margaret knows she needs someone to talk to about growing up-and it's not long before she's found a solution. Are you there God? It's me, Margaret. I can't wait until two o'clock God. That's when our dance starts. Do you think I'll get Philip Leroy for a partner? It's not so much that I like him as a person God, but as a boy he's very handsome. And I'd love to dance with him... just once or twice. Thank you God. Funny.

72 books down, 170 days to go!

yep.. I finished Intertwined, a book about a boy with four souls living inside of him. They talk to him. One can see the future, one can take Aden back in time, one can raise the dead, and one can possess other bodies. I have to go work on my S.S. project but this book is amazing!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLwEAFCCWOc

Most sixteen-year-olds have friends. Aden Stone has four human souls living inside him:

One can time-travel.

One can raise the dead.

One can tell the future.

And one can possess another human.

With no other family and a life spent in and out of institutions, Aden and the souls have become friends. But now they're causing him all kinds of trouble. Like, he'll blink and suddenly he's a younger Aden, reliving the past. One wrong move, and he'll change the future. Or he'll walk past a total stranger and know how and when she's going to die.

He's so over it. All he wants is peace.

And then he meets a girl who quiets the voices. Well, as long as he's near her. Why? Mary Ann Gray is his total opposite. He's a loner; she has friends. He doesn't care what anyone thinks; she tries to make everyone happy. And while he attracts the paranormal, she repels it. For her sake, he should stay away. But it's too late.

Somehow, they share an inexplicable bond of friendship. A bond about to be tested by a werewolf shape-shifter who wants Mary Ann for his own, and a vampire princess Aden can't resist.

Two romances, both forbidden. Still, the four will enter a dark underworld of intrigue and danger—but not everyone will come out alive.
